This quiet spot exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return for future visits.

Great way to end our trip. Possibly the best and amazing stay on vacation. A nice size and fairly quiet room plus an individual safe, climate control, and a sitting area. The bed, which was great. Excellent staff onsite😀🙂

We were very disappointed with our recent stay at Playa Canek. Whilst the location on Tulum Beach Road is perfect, our one week stay at Playa Canek was not. The room was extremely basic and somewhat small for 4 people. Due to an incident with a cockroach we had to pull both double beds out and it would seem that the back of the beds and walls haven’t been cleaned for some time. The bathroom was damp and smelt of mould. Despite our room allegedly being cleaned the floor still felt tacky and dirty. The reception did not have 24 hour cover and even when it was open it was difficult finding someone to assist. When you did eventually find someone to assist the service was very poor. We visited four places during our trip to Mexico and the service was generally of a very high standard with the exception of Playa Canek. Requesting clean beach towels even seemed to be a problem. The bar wasn’t always managed and my friend was told she would need to wait 20 minutes for a bottle of water which isn’t ideal when you’re laying in the hot sun. We also waited over 50 minutes for the one breakfast we had during our stay. We decided to use other beach clubs and paid additional fees for doing so. On the day of check out, we were running 15 minutes behind schedule. We were then put under pressure to get out of the room despite the fact that we had received no service at all and had to wait an excessive amount of time for the basic things requested. The photos online portray a very different picture to the reality of the room we were given.

Location: the hotel was close enough to a great beach bar and free sun beds, all restaurants in Tulum Beach and nice bars and restaurants. The room was a nice size and fairly quiet, with great bed and a shower and bath sheets in the bathroom.

The room was reasonably large with a/c, had a good night's sleep. A great selection of food for breakfast, which was good to satisfy everyone.

This place is ideally situated near restaurants and bars, with delicious food offerings and a wide menu selection, and the exceptional staff makes it a place to return to.

The location here is fantastic, with small supermarkets nearby and a great restaurant serving delicious meals.

The staff were all top-class. the room was large and fairly quiet with a/c. the location was the best possible and nice for me.

The dining spot served up some delicious meals; I must say I enjoyed the tasty dishes here. 🍲
